Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program
The Department of Energy (DOE) will compensate workers who have contracted cancer as a result of exposure to radiation, beryllium or silica during the course of employment at a DOE contractor. This would include those who have worked with radioactive materials for Atomics International (and more recently ETEC) on DOE funded programs. Subtitle E of the Act also provides compensation for workers who have become ill due to exposure to any toxic agent in the workplace as a result of DOE programs.
Several agencies are involved with this program and links to relevant web sites are provided below.
If you feel you may be an eligible claimant, you may call the Department of Labor (DOL) toll-free hotline at 1-866-888-3322 or visit their website and request claim forms.
DOL will request employment records and workplace exposure history from Boeing. Claimants are not required to obtain this information directly from Boeing. However, if retirees or current employee radiation workers would like copies of their radiation exposure histories, they should submit a request to Boeing using the the following form.
