During the later half of Area IV's operational R&D period, an annual report was prepared on radiological controls in the workplace. The reports reviewed and summarized workplace controls, internal and external exposure control, radiological air monitoring, incidents, facility enfluents, environmental monitoring, etc.
In 1991 the Department of Energy conducted a "Tiger Team" audit of the Energy Technology Engineering Center at SSFL. This was just one of many such Tiger Team audits of all DOE facilities across the U.S.
